Refund & Return Policy

At JAZ Engineering (PTY) Ltd., we are committed to providing high-quality engineering tools, 3D printing solutions, and industrial components. We understand that sometimes things go wrong, and this policy outlines your rights and responsibilities when returning products to us.

1. Time Limits for Returns

To process your return efficiently, please adhere to the following timeframes:

  • 30-Day Standard Return Window: You must log a return within 30 days of delivery for the following reasons:
    • We delivered the wrong item.
    • The item arrived damaged.
    • The item is missing parts or accessories.
    • You changed your mind and no longer want the item.
  • Defective Items: For items that become defective after use, you must log a return within 1 month (30 days) of delivery, unless the product has an extended manufacturer warranty (see Section 6).

2. Preparing Your Return

To ensure your return is accepted, you must package the item carefully to prevent damage during transit.

  • Packaging Requirements: You must return the item in its original product packaging with all accessories, parts, and manuals included.
  • Seals: All manufacturing seals must be intact (if applicable), unless the item is being returned because it is defective.
  • Non-Compliance: If you return an item without the original packaging or missing parts, we will not accept the return and will send the item back to you.
Note: You may log the return again if you can locate the missing packaging/parts, but we reserve the right to charge a collection fee and a redelivery fee.

3. Wrong Item, Damaged on Delivery, or Missing Parts

If we made a mistake or your order arrived in poor condition, we will fix it.

Your Choice:

Once we have inspected the item and validated the issue, you can choose to have us:

  • Replace the item (if stock is available).
  • Credit your account with the purchase price.
  • Refund you via your original payment method.

Stock Shortages: If we do not have replacement stock available, we will credit your account or process a refund.

Exclusions:

An item will not be considered "Damaged on Delivery" if:

  • It was damaged by you (accidental or intentional).
  • It was damaged due to electrical surges or lightning.
  • It works as described on our website, but you are using it for an unintended purpose.

4. You Changed Your Mind

If you simply changed your mind, you may return the item within 30 days.

  • Condition: The item must be unused, in perfect condition, and in its original sealed packaging.
  • Cost: You may be liable for the direct cost of returning the goods (courier fees), which will be deducted from your refund.

5. Defective Items

If an item breaks or stops working due to a manufacturing defect, you may return it within 1 month of delivery.

  • Inspection: Once we receive the item, our technical team will inspect it.
  • Remedy: If the return is valid, you may choose to have the item repaired, replaced, or refunded (subject to stock availability and whether the item is repairable).

Invalid Defects (Return Declined):

  • Normal wear and tear (damage that naturally occurs over time).
  • Negligence or abuse (e.g., dropping the item, liquid damage, improper care).
  • Electrical surges or sea air corrosion (rust).
  • Unauthorized modifications (e.g., altering the product, changing plugs, or modifying software).
  • Unintended use (using the product in a way not specified by the manufacturer).

6. Warranty Items: Direct Manufacturer Warranties

Some items (such as certain 3D printers, CNC machines, or specialized electronics) come with a specific Manufacturer Warranty that supersedes this policy.

  • Process: With a manufacturer warranty, the manufacturer handles the return, repair, or replacement directly.
  • Our Role: When you log a return for such an item, we will provide you with the contact details of the relevant manufacturer or their authorized local service center. You must then contact them directly to resolve the issue.

7. Stock Availability & Pricing Disclaimer

While we do our best to ensure that our website reflects accurate stock levels and pricing, errors may occur, and we rely on third-party suppliers for certain inventory.

  • Real-Time Stock: JAZ Engineering (PTY) Ltd. reserves the right to cancel an order if an item is listed as "In Stock" but is physically unavailable due to a system error or simultaneous sales.
  • Supplier Stock: Items marked as "In Stock at Supplier" are subject to availability at our vendors. In the rare event that a supplier is out of stock after you have placed an order, we will notify you immediately and offer a full refund, store credit, or the option to wait for backordered stock.
  • Pricing Errors: We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders placed for products listed at an incorrect price due to technical or human error. If your credit card has already been charged, we will issue a full refund immediately.

Profile > My Orders > Select Order > "Request Return"
